Frequently Asked Questions
Can I feed my dog bones?
RAW BONES YES! As long as the bone is raw it is rubbery and safe for your dog to eat. All cooked bones are brittle and can cause major problems for dogs & cats alike.
BEWARE OF ELONGATED bones if you dog is a gulper instead of a chewer. If your dog likes to gulp the bones (ie chicken legs, thighs, and wings), then crush them first with a hammer to keep from getting twisted in the intestines.
My dog suffers from allergies - will raw food help?
YES, MOST ALLERGIES are caused by grains, preservatives, or additives within the dog food. Nature's Intent has NO grains, NO preservatives & NO additives. We also use only top quality ingredients.
OUR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK has nothing but praise for the relief of allergies in their dogs. For more extensive information please contact us directly.
My dog has tartar buildup will Nature's Intent help?
YES, TARTAR BUILDUP is caused by plaque which grows in an alkaline environment. Nature's Intent is an acidic food and plaque cannot grow in an acidic environment. Therefore, the tartar on your dogs teeth will flake off and not come back if you keep completely on Nature's Intent.
Which of your recipes is better (beef, chicken or turkey)?
NO RECIPE IS better than another one. They are different in fat content so if you have an overweight dog you can either feed more turkey (a leaner meat) or less of the beef and chicken.
I ALWAYS RECOMMEND a variety of protein sources for the dogs. Each protein source (meat) has different benefits for the dog and who wants to eat the same thing day in and out.
ON NATURE'S INTENT you can switch your dog back and forth between the different protein sources on a daily basis or mix two of them together for a different taste for your dog.
What is Nature's Intent source of protein?
NATURE'S INTENT IS a natural source of protein derivied from high quality raw meat. We don't add preservatives or additives to our food. We believe the food should be complete within its ingredients so no additional nutrient sources are needed.
